He was born in Athens in 1955. He studied sculpture and specialized in primitive casting techniques and artistic metal processing. For the last 20 years, he has been living in the mountains of Arcadia, a mountainous region in the heart of the Peloponnese, known for its rich ancient history and culture.
His works are characterized by the traditional bronze casting technique, though he often incorporates details made from glass, iron, and aluminum. Thanks to the lost wax technique, these materials bring realism and emotion to his sculptures. His work is distinguished by the harmony of shapes, the meticulous attention to detail, and the beautiful patina that enhances the pieces.
One of the artist’s favorite subjects is the perennial olive tree. Its trunk, engraved, cracked, and worn, shows the marks of time, which are deeply imprinted on the ancient body of the tree. The materials he predominantly uses are cast bronze, the lost wax technique (a primitive method), hand painting, and finishing.
