  -    -  Dimitriou Anna

She was born in Athens in 1972.

She studied film and television directing at the Hellenic Cinema and Television School Stavrakos. She later expanded her studies to include theater directing and journalism while working on various television productions.

A self-taught collage artist, she began working with digital collage in 2006 before transitioning to analog techniques. As a collage artist, she has participated in both group and solo exhibitions in Athens, Thessaloniki, and other cities across Greece. Her artistic activity, however, extends beyond these locations.

For the past five years, she has been deeply engaged in street art—particularly murals—earning widespread acclaim and recognition. She creates in public spaces and is best known for her murals on abandoned buildings of historical significance. Her inspiration mainly comes from the old world, especially the early decades of the 20th century, maintaining a constant dialogue with the past.

Her most ambitious project to date is the “Xenia Hotels” initiative, through which she aims to revive the spirit of Greek summers from her youth and protest against the neglect of our cultural heritage.

Her art is playful and expressive. In her colorful collages, she combines vintage photographs with acrylics and pastels, often depicting female figures of the past. These works blend retro and romantic elements with a joyful, modern twist.
