She was born in Chania, Crete, and grew up in Toronto, Canada. There, she studied applied arts and took ceramics courses at George Brown College, 3 Schools, and Little Group Studio. She started her professional career in Chania, but over time, the challenges of Athens captivated her.
Kaiti Anastasaki, along with her collaborators and two daughters, draws inspiration and creativity in Marousi, Athens.
Through experimentation and playful exploration, both realistic and imaginative forms emerge, infused with movement, humor, sensuality, and echoes from the past. Using simple tools, skilled hands, and modern techniques, they bring their own identity to the ancient art of ceramics. The raw materials used are stoneware clays and porcelain—fired at high temperatures to produce durable, high-quality pieces that stand the test of time.
