Dimitris Andrianopoulos
Born in 1934, Thessaloniki, Greece.
- He studied design and art in Vakalo school and worked as an assistant in the painting workshop of Th. Andreopoulos.
- After one year survival reasons forced him to emigrate to Germany but some years later, he returned.
- Since he was 16 years old, he has been painting without breaks, regardless of his livelihood.
- He had successful exhibitions in Athens and in various provincial cities.
- After his last exhibition he decided to withdraw from the commercial circuit continued his work alone and unaffected
- After he decided to study for 2 years in the preparatory department at the School of Fine Arts of Petra.
- Ηis work began with illustrative painting which gradually led him to paint his inner visions with shapes and colors.
- Αfter 40 years of work signing his works with his name (Dimitris A.), he decides to change his signature to (Arika A.) honoring his wife’s name.
- Since 2001 he lives and works in Nea Makri
