OPTO means “placing something in the fire” –together with earth, water and air, are the basisof every piece that will be in your hands. Throughexperimentation and games, realistic andimaginative forms emerge, with movement,humor, sensuality and influences from the past.

Keti Anastasaki, along with her co-workers and two daughters find inspiration and creativity inher workshop/showroom OPTO in Marousi, Athens. The harmonious interchange and chemistrybetween them are reflected in their “work” making it unique and “recognizable”.

Born in Chania Crete, she grew up in Toronto Canada. There she studied Applied Arts andattended ceramics courses at George Brown College, 3 Schools and Little Group Studio. Shestarted professionally in Chania but in the process, she was won by the challenges of Athens.

With simple tools, experienced hands and modern means, we give our own identity to theprimordial art of Ceramics. Our raw material is stoneware clays and porcelain – material fired athigh temperatures resulting in excellent quality resistant to time wear.
